2025 Artistic languages of 11 artists, artQ13 space Performers: Gilberto Bartoloni, Carlo Caloro, Emiliano Campagnola, Loredana Canditone, Fiamma Franchi, Sebastiano Luciano, Alessandro Malcangi, Sarah Claudia Müller, Matteo Panzironi, Virginia Picchi, Natalia Pulido Granada First presented at: artQ13, Rome, 28 March 2025, 12:00 noon (open to the public from 7:30 pm)
Eleven artists meet at 12:00 noon in the artQ13 space in Rome. Over the following hours each artist’s language is mapped and set against the others. Protocols of hybridisation between the different practices are defined. The outcome of the day cannot be foreseen at the start. Every decision is taken collectively, in real time, on the basis of what happens in the space. At 7:30 pm the space opens to the public, who gain access to what has been produced over the course of the day. There is no separation between the moment of creation and that of presentation. The practices overlap, contaminate one another, redefine one another within a compressed and shared time. The rules arise during the process, not before it.
Regime to be defined. Eleven artists map their own languages and hybridise them in real time. Every decision is collective and immediate. Here the string is each artist’s language, and it is dissolved in the common process.
